Traverse Standard v11.0
UOMs
Use the UOMs function to set up and maintain a list of valid inventory units of measure (UOM table). By setting the Inventory business rule to Yes, you can limit the unit of measure options for new inventory items to the UOMs in the UOM table.
When you add a UOM to a new inventory item, the units of measure will be limited to the values in the UOM table.
Creating the UOM table
- Click the New button, on the toolbar, to open a blank UOM record.
- Enter a new unit of measure in the Unit field. Repeat as necessary.
- Click the Save button to save your changes.
Add current inventory units of measure to the UOM table
Click the Generate button to open the Generate window.
The Generate window will display a list of unique units from existing inventory items that are not in the UOM table. Mark the check box for each existing UOM you want to add to the table, or clear the check box if you do not want the unit to be added in the UOM table.
Click the OK button to add the selected inventory UOMs to the UOM table.
Deleting a UOM from the UOM table
When you delete a unit of measure from the UOM table, you are not deleting that UOM from any inventory item. You are simply removing that UOM as an option to select for new inventory items.
- Select a Unit to delete from the UOM table.
- Click the Delete button, on the toolbar, to delete the selected unit.
- Click Yes at the "Are you sure you want to delete selected record(s)?" prompt.
Produce a UOM List
- Select the print preview button (
) to preview the list of units of measure.
- The preview report screen appears.
- Select the print button (
) in the toolbar to print your list.
