Balance versus Activity Source and Basis Types

You can select the type of Source and Basis amounts by Balance or by Activity for the selected period.

When you select a Source or Basis amount by Balance, the system will use the balance at the end of the selected period to determine the amount to distribute (Source) or the amount used as the basis to determine how to allocate the distribution amount (Basis)

The Balance type of Source or Basis amount will be $250, since that is the ending period balance.

 

When you select a Source or Basis amount by Activity, the system will use the sum of the activity within the selected period time frame to determine the amount to distribute (Source) or the amount used as the basis to determine how to allocate the distribution amount (Basis)

End of Period Balance	350
Sum of Period Activity	100

The Activity type of Source or Basis amount will be $100, since that is the sum of the account activity from the start of the selected period to the end of the selected period.
